Based on recent data, the population of centenarians in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
From 2004 and 2024, the total of men aged 100 or over has grown by 200% from 910 to 3,100. Over the same period, the amount of female individuals reaching 100 almost doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are excited to receive stories from those aged 100 or over, their loved ones or friends, about what it has been like to live through the past century’s seismic events and changes.
